New phases in Tl-Ca-Ba-Cu-O and Bi-Ca-Sr-Cu-O systems
Abstract
Specimens of superconducting compounds based on Tl-Ca-Ba-Cu-O and Bi-Ca-Sr-Cu-O systems were prepared by several different methods and studied crystallographically using X-ray diffraction analysis. The crystallographic parameters of the specimens are examined in relation to their superconducting characteristics. In particular, it is shown that there exists a trend toward an increase in the superconducting transition temperature with an increase in the cell parameter c.
