Basic considerations on gravitation
Abstract
The derivation of Newton's law is reviewed and applied to a mass with constant velocity on a curved trajectory as the basic element of a system of heavenly bodies. The application of Newton's law to masses on the earth's surface is also addressed. The splitting of the Kepler constants is considered.
