The EFS-90 operation - A solar eclipse observed at 39,000 feet
Abstract
This paper examines the observations acquired by a specially equipped aircraft during the solar eclipse of 22 July 1990 over Finland. Attention is given to the specifications and the utilization of the photograpic equipment employed. Consideration is given to the operational maneuvers of the aircraft to obtain the optimal imaging angles during the short time span of the eclipse.
