The watch all-sky monitor for the granat project
Abstract
WATCH is an X-ray all-sky monitor capable of localizing strong X-ray sources and following their time development. The GRANAT satellite, to be launched in 1989, carries several large X- and gamma-ray telescopes and gamma-burst detector arrays.
Four WATCH units have recently been added to the payload of GRANAT. We discuss the capabilities and potential scientific returns from this project. On leave from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Homi Bhabha Road, Bombay - 400 005, Colaba, India.- Publication:
