Influence of general-relativity effects on the electrodynamics within the magnetic-polar regions of neutron stars
Abstract
The paper examines the influence of general-relativity effects on the induction of electric fields within a region of open magnetic-field lines in a neutron-star magnetosphere. Simple analytical solutions are obtained for aligned and orthogonal rotators. Implications of the results obtained for the theory of radio pulsars are discussed.
