Accurate absolute luminosities, effective temperatures, radii, masses and surface gravities for a selected sample of field stars.
Abstract
Reliable estimates are presented of stellar effective temperatures, radii, and luminosities for individual field stars obtained from spectrophotometry and trigonometric parallaxes. The average uncertainty affecting these quantities is on the order of 2 percent, 16 percent, and 35 percent, respectively. Reasonably accurate mass and surface gravity values derived by assuming the soundness of predictions made by stellar evolution theories are given.
