The Aspera experiment - Investigation of the solar wind and the plasma shells of Mars
Abstract
Aspera is a multipurpose plasma experiment designed to investigate various problems at the three main stages of flight to Phobos: trajectory to Mars, in-orbit operation, and approach to Phobos. The characteristics of the spectrometer in the Aspera experiment are described, and the telemetry features are considered. Examples of mass spectra obtained in ground-based calibrations are presented.
