Network configuration and control selection in the Intelsat satellite switched TDMA system
Abstract
The approach taken for network control and beam configuration scheduling in the SSTDMA Burst Time Plan (SSBTP) Generation System is described. The ways in which this approach contributes to reliable network control for the Intelsat SSTDMA system is studied. Architectural and control selection changes were made and the resulting network control selection functions of the SSBTP Generation System turned out to be highly structured. The control selection procedures were designed to minimize the number of beam accesses required by a traffic station.
