Experimental studies of dissociative recombination branching ratios
Abstract
A new technique is reviewed which allows the branching ratios of dissociative recombination to be studied. The molecular ions are formed by charge exchange reaction with a monoatomic ion in a highly ionized plasma flow. After recombination, the products are detected using VUV absorption methods.
