The dimagnetism of a turbulent plasma
Abstract
The behavior of a large-scale magnetic field in a turbulent conducting medium is studied. An effective magnetic susceptibility coefficient mu is introduced to describe the relation between the magnetic field in the medium and the external field. It is shown that the magnitude of the field does not depend on whether the turbulence is two- or three-dimensional.
