Multitarget monopulse direction finder for noise sources
Abstract
A technique for the adaptive direction finding of noise sources is described which is based on estimates of beam eigenvalues from two correlation matrices of these sources, calculated, respectively, at two antennaarray outputs with shifted phase centers. The directionfinding technique is parallel, does not require mathematical scanning using a reference signal, and is applicable to both linear and planar arrays.
