Fluid motion near a stretching circular cylinder
Abstract
Exact solutions of the NavierStokes equations are obtained which describe the steady axisymmetric motion of an incompressible fluid near a stretching infinite circular cylinder. It is assumed that the surface of the cylinder is being stretched in the axial direction in such a way that the axial velocity component at the boundary is linear according to a specific coordinate.
