The implications of reductionist physics for human culpability
Abstract
Are we responsible for our actions? If we follow the assumptions on which the classical mechanistic-reductionist paradigm is based to their logical conclusion, we appear to be led to the conclusion that we are not masters of our destiny or ultimately responsible for our moral decisions. But recent developments in science are undermining this reply.
