Modeling turbulent flow with mixed thermal convection transfer
Abstract
Second order models used in predicting turbulent flow involving thermal transfer are described. The models are based on step equations. Dimensional analysis of all the terms used in the equations is carried out using the large number hypothesis developed by Reynolds and Peclet. A two equation model is used for the hydrodynamic aspects of the problem. For thermal considerations a prt plus theta squared model and a complete model are developed. The steps involved in developing the two models are described in detail.
