Determination of the work function of EuBa2Cu3O(7-x), TbBa2Cu3O(7-x), and DyBa2Cu3O(7-x) single crystals
Abstract
The work function was found to fluctuate in the range from 3.9 to 5.4 eV for specimens of the three types of high-temperature superconductors studied, and from 3.9 to 5.1 eV for the specimen containing Tb. This scatter may be connected with different states of the specimen surfaces after removal of adsorbed gases.
