The Modular Invariant Regularization Method and OneLoop Corrected Effective Action in the Closed Bosonic String in D=26
Abstract
We show the modular invariant regularization of 1loop string amplitudes in the Smatrix approach and the 1loop 2point Green function in the closed bosonic string in d=26. Then we show that there is no massshift for massless antisymmetric tensor but that there are massshifts for graviton and dilaton, by using the 1loop (torustopology) 2point string amplitudes in Smatrix approach. The graviton massshift and the dilaton massshift are due to the existence of the cosmological constant C sqrt{G}. These results agree with the result of Tseytlin who uses the factorization analysis or in the zero momentum limit.
