Sigma-Hypernuclear States in (208) Pb
Abstract
Sigma-hypernuclear states produced by (K(-},pi({+)) ) reaction on target (208) Pb are investigated. Strong interaction potential batween Sigma (-) and the core nucleus has a peculiar repulsive bump near the nuclear surface. Classification of Sigma-hypernuclear states into nuclear state (N), hybrid state (H) and atomic state (A) is also proposed. It is found that a hybrid state with highangular momentum l=5 has a reasonably narrow width and is bound deeply enough to be experimentarlly observable.
