On the spatial structure of emitting region of pulsar PSR 1702-19.
Abstract
A method based on the interpulse analysis is proposed for determining the inclination of the magnetic axis to the spin axis (beta) and to the line of sight (sigma). For the pulsar PSR 1702-19, it is found that beta = 88 deg, sigma for the main pulse = -4 deg, and sigma for the interpulse = -8 deg. Also, it is shown that the halfwidth of open field line cone (theta) = 14 deg, the height of the emitting region (r) = 0.03, and the value for rLC = 4 x 10 to the 7th cm in the magnetosphere at a frequency of 400 MHz.
