Chemical homogeneity of the Galactic disk
Abstract
Results of a spectroscopic abundance investigation of stars that are members of open clusters and dynamical groups are presented. It is shown that the chemical composition of stars of the region of the Galactic disk studied (about 1.5 kpc) remained unchanged during the last 4-billion years, and that the dispersion of heavy metal abundances can be explained by methodological errors.
