Walking beyond the rainbow

We discuss the idea of walking technicolor. Using the operator product expansion, we extract from the conventional rainnow approximation analysis the essence that we expect to persist beyond perturbation theory: that in a gauge theory in which the technicolor gauge coupling evolves very slowly, and in a guage in which the technifermion wave function renormalization vanishes, the renormalized technifermion mass parameter decreases roughly linearly above the scale of spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking.
