Scattered noise waves in microwave and mm-wave networks
Abstract
A scattering parameter technique that allows the noise performance of microwave and mm-wave networks to be calculated with ease and precision is presented. The individual components that comprise a network may be active or passive, and there are no restrictions regarding reciprocity. In effect, it is possible to analyze the noise performance of complicated systems that incorporate devices such as isolators, amplifiers, attenuators, phase shifters, and directional couplers in detail.
