White Dwarfs in Globular Clusters
Abstract
This paper discusses the information that could be obtained from observations of white dwarfs in globular clusters. The issues examined include the expected number of white dwarfs (as opposed to the number of observable white dwarfs) in a cluster; the expected properties of the white dwarfs; and observational evidence for white dwarfs in globular clusters, which includes indirect studies based on globular cluster dynamics and direct and semidirect observations.
