A numerical study of wave diffraction on cylindrical structures
Abstract
The method of singular integral equations is applied to the solution of scalar problems concerning the diffraction of electromagnetic waves on noncoordinate cylindrical surfaces. In particular, attention is given to the problems of short wave diffraction on cylindrical screens and diffraction of electromagnetic waves on cylindrical piecewise smooth screens, on a system of semiinfinite and infinite cylindrical screens, and on thin cylindrical shells of finite conductivity. The discussion also covers the development of solution algorithms for diffraction on cylindrical screens and inclusions in a piecewise homogeneous medium.
