A study of the spectra of dipole 2-3 transitions in ions (Z = 36-92) of the isoelectron Ne sequence
Abstract
The wavelengths of the 2-3 transitions in neon-like ions have been measured for Z = 36-92. The transition energies are calculated using the Z-decomposition method and the semiempirical model potential method. The available theoretical and experimental values of the transition energies are compared over a wide Z range. Details of the experimental procedure and equipment used in the study are included.
