Hydromagnetic diagnostics according to observations of pulsations at a geomagnetic meridian
Abstract
An analysis of synoptic observations of Pc5 pulsations at three stations of the Noril'sk meridian indicates that it is possible to obtain a continuous dependence of the pulsation period on latitude, which in principle makes it possible to retrieve the radial dependence of the plasma density in the geomagnetic equator plane. Information about the amplitude spectra of the H components of the pulsation field is sufficient for the analysis.
