Kinetics of particle heating and evaporation in a high-temperature rarefied gas
Abstract
The heating and evaporation kinetics of condensed particles in a high-temperature rarefied gas is investigated analytically, with aluminum particles used as an example. The analysis allows for the temperature dependence of the thermodynamic parameters of the gas (air); the importance of these parameters in the analysis of the heating and evaporation kinetics of condensed particles is emphasized. It is shown that optimal selection of the temperature and pressure of the gas phase makes it possible to reduce the energy requirements for plasma-chemical and other processes carried out in a plasma in the presence of a condensed phase.
