Solution of problems of wave diffraction by a polygonal cylindrical surface using the domain product method
Abstract
A solution is presented for the problem of diffraction of E and Hpolarized electromagnetic waves by conducting cylindrical surfaces with an arbitrary polygonal contour. It is shown, in particular, that the use of the domain product method makes it possible to reduce the initial boundary value problem to a system of linear algebraic equations of the second kind with an essentially continuous matrix operator. In all cases, the system can be effectively solved by the reduction method.
