Characteristics of tunneling into a metal oxide ceramic
Abstract
Experimental data are presented on the tunneling characteristics of La(1.85)Sr(0.15)CuO4 ceramic in both superconducting and normal states. It is shown that all the observed deviations from the behavior predicted by tunneling theory can be reconciled by taking into account the inhomogeneity of the test specimens. The results obtained indicate in an unambiguous manner that the superconductivity mechanism in this ceramic can be explained in terms of conventional superconductivity theory modified with allowance for the inhomogeneity of the ceramic.
