EinsteinMaxwell theory from torsion
Abstract
The EinsteinMaxwell formulation of gravitation and electromagnetism is developed in U_{4} spacetime by using a Lagrangian which produces propagating torsion. The resulting equations turn out to be identical to the EinsteinMaxwell formulation except that here the torsion vector represents the electromagnetic potential.
