Long wavelength vibronic band analysis of the B 3Π(0 +)→X 1Σ + transitions of 79Br 35Cl and 81Br 35Cl
Abstract
Long wavelength laser induced fluorescence (LIF) has been observed from the B 3Π(0 +)→X 1Σ + transitions of 79Br 35Cl and 81Br 35Cl at 650-1100 nm. Vibronic bandhead positions have been determined and assigned for transitions from ν' = 0-6 to ν″ = 5-19. Vibrational constants and RKR turning points are reported along with Franck-Condon factors for the B-X transitions to long wavelengths. The validity of the molecular constants determined by Coxon has been verified for long wavelength transitions.
