Results of the measurement of ionospheric drift in the E-region above Dushanbe in 1983
Abstract
Results of a statistical analysis of experimental data on horizontally ionospheric drifts obtained with closely spaced receivers are presented; measurements were made at a fixed frequency of 2.2 MHz. The revealing drift velocity was 40-60 m/s for all the seasons. The prevailing drift was directed toward the southwest in the winter and toward the east in the summer. The scatter of the observed drift directions was found to be greatest in spring and autumn.
