Simultaneous cinematographic and spectral observations of prominences at Abastumani
Abstract
A device to compensate the rotation field in the coude focus along a mirror radius slit of a spectrograph has been attached to the eclipse coronagraph at the Abastumani Observatory, USSR. The instrument is used to simultaneously film and make spectral observations of prominences in the chromosphere single emission lines using an ultranarrow-band interference filter and a 35-mm camera. The parameters of the ultranarrow-band interference filter are given, and the simultaneous observation technique is described.
