On dynamical evolution of the bright stars' subsystem in the Orion Sword cluster.
Abstract
A set of differential equations of the 102nd order was integrated numerically to trace the dynamic evolution of a subsystem of 17 of the brightest stars in the Orion Sword cluster over a period of 20.1 Myr. It is found that the bright members of the cluster begin to concentrate mostly in the core region upon passage through the region where the cluster core is located, a phenomenon which takes place in 7-Myr cycles. Some of these stars acquire motions along elongated orbits and remain within the boundaries of the cluster corona for a long period of time; one of the stars is ejected from the cluster with a hyperbolic velocity.
