Observational results on the meteor number at the Molodezhnaya station (Antarctica)
Abstract
The time variations of meteor numbers from meteor radar measurements at the Molodezhnaya station (Antarctica) in 1985 are considered. The differences in the diurnal course of meteor numbers obtained in the Southern and Northern Hemispheres are established. A meteor radar station with an operating frequency of 33.6 MHz, a pulse radiation power of 15 kW, a pulse duration of 100 microsec, a pulse repetition frequency of 100-300 Hz, and a receiver sensitivity of 2 microV was used.
