Analysis of the boundary layer at a saddle point of attachment by computer extended series
Abstract
The vicous boundary layer at a saddle point of attachment, as might occur on a lengthwise corrugated circular cylinder in cross flow, is analyzed by computerextended series. The analysis reveals the detailed structure of the boundary layer at the saddle point, including reversed boundarylayer flow when the saddle point is deep enough (i.e., the corrugations of the cylinder have a large enough amplitude).
