What are the gamma-ray bursts? - Consistency with the magnetized neutron star model.
Abstract
Although many observations of gamma-ray bursts have been performed during the past one and a half decades since their discovery, there has not yet been a firm consensus, on the origin of the gamma-ray bursts. Here, the author briefly discusses the observational data to study the consistency with the magnetized neutron star model for burst origin, mainly referring to the new observations in X-ray regions by Ginga.
