Transient X-ray pulsar with 414 sec period discovered by Ginga.
Abstract
An X-ray pulsation of 414 sec period was discovered from a source within a 2°×4° field of view centered at α = 17h22m, δ = -36.2° during a pointed Ginga observation. The X-ray activity and the pulsation were observed only for the first 8 hours in a 1.8 day total observation made on October 10 - 12, 1987. The source shows a pulsation with a 413.9±0.2 s period and a roughly single peaked pulse profile. The energy spectrum was very hard with a significant low energy absorption of NH = 1024.1cm-2.
