The authors describe the design and status of the real-time Berkeley supernovae search. This system is intended to supersede the currently operating search, described elsewhere. At full speed and sensitivity, the planned system will be able to search 1500 galaxies per night with a limiting magnitude of 20 or fainter. The authors are now testing and completing the real-time system, and will soon be using it instead of the original search system.
