Einsteins's theory of gravity in Fierz variables
Abstract
We present a complete theory of massive and massless spintwo field using Fierz variables A (sub alpha beta mu) its relationship with the standard variable Psi (sub mu upsilon) and the bridge relation which allows the passage from one representation to the other. We develop the Hamiltonian formalism for both the massive and the massless cases. The theory thus presented is nothing but Einstein's General Relativity in the Jordan  Lichnerowicz formulation. We then discuss an unification program in which a new shortrange force is postulated. This force becomes the local counterpart of gravity in the same way we can think that weak interaction is the shortrange counterpart of electrodynamics.
