Characteristics of the operation of amplifier klystrons in multifrequency modes
Abstract
The basic characteristics of an amplifier klystron in the multifrequency mode of operation are examined, including the suppression coefficient, the power utilization coefficient, and the relative level of combination components. These parameters are studied as a function of the number and power of simultaneously amplified signals. A method is proposed for estimating the relative level of combination components on the basis of the amplitude characteristic of the single-frequency mode of operation.
