Comparison of experimental data with the numerical modeling of polarization effects in the backscattering of waves by a meteor tail
Abstract
The behavior of the differential phase of waves scattered by a meteor tail and received by crossed antennas is investigated on the basis of the rigorous solution of the diffraction problem. It is found that the experimentally observed effects are consistent with the longitunal homogeneous meteor tail model.
