Impedance of an electric dipole in an anisotropic plasma
Abstract
A quasi-wave approach to determining the characteristics of antennas in an anisotropic plasma is formulated. The input impedance and current distribution in a symmetric electric diople in an anisotropic plasma are determined for longitudinal and tranverse orientations with respect to the external magnetic field. An intrinsic electrodynamic scale is introduced which defines the electric length of an antenna in an anisotropic plasma.
