Optimal invariant algorithm for adapting an antenna array
Abstract
Invariant statistical decision theory is applied to the adaptive processing of signals in antenna arrays. The concept of an adaptation algorithm that is invariant with respect to a group of nondegenerate linear transformations is introduced. An optimal invariant adaptation algorithm is obtained for the detection of a determinate signal on a Gaussian-noise background. The learning characteristics of the algorithm are presented.
