An introduction to nonlinear dynamics and chaos theory
Abstract
Various aspects of nonlinear dynamics and chaos theory are discussed. Nonlinear differential equations in phase space are discussed, and shift maps and chaos in conservative systems are examined. Driven systems, Cantor sets, and strange attractors are addressed. Experiments on deterministic chaotic systems are considered, and computability considerations are treated.
