Abul-Magd-Weidenmüller chaoticity effect: Evidence for interacting boson model?
Abstract
Stochasticity of the low-spin states in the interacting boson model (IBM) associated with O(6) and SU(3) limits is investigated. It was found that 2+, 4+ and 0+, 3+ states belong to two different classes, which exhibit tendency towards regularity and chaoticity respectively. This is consistent with recent result by Abul-Magd and Weidenmüller, obtained by the analysis of the available systematics of experimental level spacings.
