Nonlinear absorption and refraction of ultrashort light pulses in glasses with microcrystals
Abstract
The paper reports on self-defocusing and antireflection effects observed in an oxide glass containing CdS:CdSe microscrystals with picosecond relaxation time. The characteristics of the nonlinear absorption and refraction of such glasses are determined by using picosecond chronoscopy of nonlinear phase advance and light wave amplitude. Details of the experimental procedure and results are presented.
