Investigation of the energy gap in Y-Ba-Cu-O superconductors by a IR reflection technique
Abstract
The paper presents a method for analyzing the IR reflection spectra of Y(Eu, Yb)-Ba-Cu-O superconductors in order to determine the energy gap width and to construct its temperature dependence. Also measured was reflection from a thin film (about 1 micron thick) grown on an SrTiO3 substrate. A value of about 3.5 was obtained for 2Delta/kTc.
