On the nature of the decimeter compact radio components of quasars and nuclei of galaxies.
Abstract
Compton scattering of intensive diffuse radio emission in extragalactic radio sources on relativistic jets from their active nuclei is considered. "The external inverse Compton effect" is accompanied by increasing of the frequency of the extended component decameter emission up to the decimeter range and can explain a number of peculiarities in the long-wavelength variability and spectra of the compact radio sources.
