Features of the spatial distribution of extragalactic radio sources Nnu(S) observed in different frequency ranges
Abstract
The astrophysical significance of experimental nν(S)-relations as a test of the extragalactic radio source spatial distribution is analyzed. A natural explanation can be given for following phenomena: (1) the frequency dependence of the shape of the nν(S)-relations; (2) the paradox conditioned by the qualitatively different characters of the spatial distribution of sources observed in different frequency ranges; (3) the difficulties in unambiguously determining the reality of the cosmological redshift cut-off effect in the spatial distribution of radio sources by analysing the nν(S)-relations obtained at high frequencies (ν ⪆ 1000 MHz).
