The effect of axial-symmetric current systems of the magnetosphere oncosmic rays.
Abstract
The paper presents a theoretical investigation of: (1) the effect of the equatorial ring current on cosmic rays; (2) the effect of a spherical current shell with currents flowing along parallels; (3) the effect of currents flowing along parallels on an L-shell surface; and (4) the effect of three-dimensional currents flowing along parallels in regions of trapped-radiation. Equations are derived which make it possible to evaluate cosmic-ray variations caused by variations of the cutoff rigidity.
